His time never quite arrives,
Desert-jackrabbit-dashing-about
Unable to coalesce.

It isn't that he thrives,
More he cannot live with all the doubt
Of being at rest.

And yet he still survives,
A rare man who is able to flout
What others repress.
I haven't written poems in honor of my fellow dA-ers in awhile so I thought it was time.  This goes out to Rider...  I've never personally met him and I am pretty sure in most ways we are very different but I still feel some sort of draw or affinity to him.

I think the title of the poem says how I feel about him...   he has this...  Oh I don't know...  if you know anything about the Biblical David, I'd say he has a sort of rawness, yet he is generally "quiet" (not necessarily verbally - more internally balanced), is artistic, and passionate as well.

Anyway...  Here's to you, man!

to quote frost, "We make ourselves a place apart, behind light words that tease and flout, But oh, the agitated heart
Till someone really finds us out."

this must be the second or third poem you've written about me; i am flattered beyond words, and to correlate me with King David... i am going to have to wiki him now and educate myself. this poem is lovely, i think it describes me accurately. thats saying something since we havent met, and even my closest friends wouldnt have the precision that you show in your poems. staggering, really.
